'about STArt'

STArt aims to use film as a medium to break through information bubbles, allowing people to hear different voices, discover the diversity of people, cultures, and the world on this journey, and ultimately find their own voice.

We begin with our "Democratized Screening" event, bringing our members' favorite films to the cinema and inviting everyone in the city we love to watch together. We collaborate with local independent cinemas to offer members the chance to watch movies for free through the "STArt Mystery Box," while also encouraging them to express their most authentic feelings. We connect all our members through the "STArt Living Room" initiative, where members open up their living rooms to watch their favorite films and engage in post-screening discussions, sharing these conversations with the world in podcast form.

Whether it's the written film critiques in the "STArt Mystery Box" or the verbal idea sharing in "Le Salon du STArt", these are the first steps in self-expression for our members. For members with different talents and interests, "Writer’s Lab" and "Artists Keep All" offer further exploration of self-expression. Finally, we welcome members to use the "First-time Filmmaker Incubator" to create their first short film.
